Alex is the 9 time reigning US National Yo-Yo Champion, and also the captain of the Battlebots team, Uppercut which finished in the top 16 every season it competed on the TV show on Discovery Channel.

He received his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at MIT where he designed robotic actuators and legged robots for the Biomimetic Robotics Lab. He also received his Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

He spends most of his free time designing, manufacturing, and playing with various yo-yos, robots, and chunks of aluminum. If you’re looking for him, he’s probably sitting by a Haas VF2.
